Due to the coronavirus outbreak, USA basketball has suspended all of its scheduled events.

This includes the 2020 Nike Hoop Summit:

The Olympics take place this summer in Tokyo, Japan. We could be headed for an outright cancellation of the Summer Games because of the coronavirus.

Team USA has won the gold medal at the Olympics two times in a row. The most recent team, the 2016 club, which won in Brazil, was made up of NBA stars Jimmy Butler, Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan, Kyle Lowry, Harrison Barnes, DeMar DeRozan, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, DeMarcus Cousins, Paul George, Draymond Green and Carmelo Anthony.

Thus far, no players have dropped out of Team USA. But again, that's only because we don't know what's going to happen in the future. With the way sporting events have been getting suspended seemingly everyday, the Summer Olympics are in jeopardy.
