Memphis Grizzlies guard Wade Baldwin IV is apparently into the new fad of shooting the ball regardless of the score, following the likes of JaVale McGee and Lance Stephenson — and heaving a half-court jumper to beat the buzzer against the New York Knicks on Friday night.

The deed didn't sit well with veteran shooting guard Courtney Lee, who made sure to remind the youngster the unwritten ethics of the league.

“For him to do that, what are you doing it for, bro?” Lee said, according to the New York Post's Marc Berman. “We'll see them next year — if he gets in the game. He might be in the D-League next year when we play them — you never know.”

Baldwin played only three minutes on Friday's game and the half-court shot was his only field-goal attempt of the game and/or sign of existence in the scoresheet.

“I guess he was hungry man, shooting that shot,” Lee said after taking a 101-88 loss, the team's third in the last four games.

Lee, a former member of the Grizzlies, was told his former veteran teammates Mike Conley Jr. and Vince Carter would address the situation with the Vanderbilt rookie.

“I'll let them handle it,” Lee said.
