Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns suffered a gruesome leg injury during his team's NFC Wild Card Round matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night and had to be carted off of the field:

Hurns was in so much pain that he was in tears:

Poor kid. Here is to hoping the injury isn't as bad as it looked.

Hurns played in all 16 games for the Cowboys this season, marking his first full 16-game campaign since his rookie year in 2014. On the year, he hauled in 20 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, went undrafted and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent in May 2014.

He went on to have a surprisingly impressive rookie campaign, catching 51 passes for 677 yards and six scores. Then, the following year, Hurns broke out, snaring 64 balls for 1,031 yards while reaching the end zone 10 times. As a result, the Jaguars signed Hurns to a four-year extension.

Since that point, things have gone downhill for the wide out.

In 2016, Hurns registered just 35 catches for 477 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games, and in 2017, he was limited to 10 contests due to ankle issues and finished with only 39 receptions for 484 yards and a couple of scores.

Jacksonville then released Hurns last March.

The Cowboys won 10 games this season, capturing the NFC East division title for the second time in three years. They started the year just 3-5, but proceeded to win seven of their last eight games to make it into the playoffs.
