Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. However, he believes he will get a new deal with the Cowboys and remain on the team.

Per Charean Williams of NBC Sports:

“I do [want to stay in Dallas],” Cooper said. “I mean that wholeheartedly. I love Dallas. . . .I feel like it’s home. I want to live there for a long time.”

The Cowboys traded a first-round pick for Cooper at the 2018 trade deadline. The 25-year-old was a huge addition for the Cowboys' offense as he helped them win the NFC East and a playoff game. This past season, he played phenomenally as he recorded a career-high 1,189 receiving yards and 79 receptions.

Quarterback Dak Prescott also had a career season this past year with Cooper as his No. 1 wide receiver. Prescott threw for 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

Moreover, Cooper expressed that he hasn't even talked with his agent yet regarding his contract situation.

“I haven’t talked to my agent about my contract situation,” Cooper told Jane Slater of NFL Media. “We’ve talked about other things like Pro Bowl, things I have to do at the Super Bowl. I don’t want to rush it. I think it’s not something that’s imminent. So just taking it day by day.”

Cooper can expect a huge contract from the Cowboys this offseason as he's coming off his rookie deal. However, Cooper won't be the number one priority for the Cowboys this offseason. Prescott is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason and the Cowboys are seeking to retain him. Nonetheless, the Cowboys have some big decisions to make this upcoming offseason.
