Dak Prescott is in the middle of negotiating a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys, and wide receiver Amari Cooper feels that Prescott absolutely deserves to be one of the league's highest-paid quarterbacks:

“He's just a competitor. He wants to do everything the right way,” Cooper said on ESPN First Take. “I haven't played with too many guys like Dak Prescott, so I think he definitely deserves everything that's coming to him, and he definitely deserves to be paid amongst the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.”

Prescott is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he threw for 3,885 yards, 22 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while completing 67.7 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 96.9 en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

“The energy he brings to the table [and] the will to win is unmatched,” Cooper said. “I haven't seen many quarterbacks like him. I see this guy in the weight room and — this is just a small example — most quarterbacks don't have the best bodies, or really don't care much about the weight room because they're more concerned about the cerebral side of the game, but this guy takes every rep seriously. He doesn't miss a rep, and I think that's a big part of who he is.”

Cooper joined Dallas midway through this past season and immediately became Prescott's top target, as the Cowboys went on to win 10 games and capture the NFC East division title. They then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round the following week.

Prescott has made the Pro Bowl in two of his first three seasons in Dallas, leading the Cowboys to a pair of division crowns.
