The Dallas Cowboys made playoff contention a lot more difficult for themselves as they fell short to the Philadelphia Eagles, 9-17. The blame game is already in full swing as the fans are looking for answers to the terrible two hours of football they just witnessed. Amari Cooper's absence in the all-important fourth down is one of the biggest questions being asked at the moment.

The wide receiver was held down for most of the snaps he was a part of. He only made four receptions to cover 24 yards. However, his exclusion from the play is nothing short of a blasphemous decision by the Cowboys coaching staff.

The 25-year-old wideout explained why he wasn't on the field during the play, and his answer will justifiably infuriate Cowboys fans:

It is incredibly bizarre that head coach Jason Garrett would bench his most important wide receiver on the play that would make or break their season. He may not have been performing exceptionally well in this game, but he's still the best option the Cowboys got against the Eagles. Prior to this match, Cooper totaled 1,073 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on the season.

Cowboy fans are naturally wondering why Garrett would bench him on the final play. His explanation for his decision is equally mind-boggling and infuriating for Dallas supporters.

They have an easy game against the Redskins to end the season, but a win won't likely sate the bitter taste that's been lingering in the Cowboys' mouths. They will be eliminated from the playoffs unless the Eagles lose in Week 17 and they take care of business in their own game.
