Earlier in the season, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper suffered an ankle injury at MetLife Stadium. Cooper left the game early and did not return as the Cowboys hit rock bottom with a loss to the New York Jets.

He wasn't about to let the same scenario happen on Monday night.

Cooper was once again at MetLife Stadium for Week 9, but this time, he and Dallas were taking on the NFC East rival New York Giants. For the second time in as many games at the Meadowlands this season, Cooper was limping on the sideline early on.

However, Cooper stayed in the game this time around, and he ended up logging four catches for 80 yards in a 37-18 Cowboys win.

Afterward, Cooper said that he wasn't about to let another nagging injury cost him another contest.

“To be honest, whatever was going to happen, I was going to play through it anyway,” Cooper said, according to Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News. “I couldn’t let that happen again. I was going to try my hardest to play through it.”

It may not have looked like Dallas needed Cooper based on the final score, but the game wasn't as much of a blowout as the score may indicate.

The Cowboys led just 13-12 at halftime, and going into the fourth quarter, Dallas held a slim 16-15 edge before exploding for 21 points during the final frame.

Cooper and Co. improved to 5-3 with the victory to maintain its hold on first place in the division with the Philadelphia Eagles sitting at 5-4.
