The Dallas Cowboys lost star rookie Micah Parsons to the reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday, and now another star in left tackle Tyron Smith has joined him ahead of Week 18 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Cornerback Anthony Brown also went into COVID protocols on Thursday.

This means there's a good chance all these players aren't available for the Cowboys when they take on the Eagles in the regular-season finale. The good news is that this game against the Eagles doesn't mean all that much, though there are still seeding changes that could happen this weekend.

Dallas is currently in the No. 4 spot in the NFC, and that's the lowest possible seed for them as the winners of the NFC East. However, there's still an outside chance of them moving up to No. 3 or even No. 2 if they win and get some help. While those scenarios aren't all that likely, they're still possible and would need to include a Cowboys win, so missing key players wouldn't help.

The Eagles are in the playoffs already and will either be the No. 6 or No. 7 seed. They're currently at No. 7, with the San Francisco 49ers holding the sixth spot. But that could still change depending on what happens with the 49ers.

So, while these teams are in the playoffs already, there's still something at stake in this Week 18 games. It would also just be nice to go into the playoffs on a high note, along with some divisional bragging rights. We'll see what happens with these players in the coming days.
