Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has lofty goals for 2020.

Speaking to SiriusXM radio, he made it clear that he wants to be the best rookie of his class.

“Win offensive Rookie of the Year,” the Cowboys youngster said.

Very clear cut and certainly possible. Being drafted in the middle of the first round with the 17th overall pick by the Cowboys, CeeDee Lamb is in a much better position to succeed in his rookie season than many of his counterparts.

It should also help the rookie that he is on a Cowboys team that already has a good quarterback and pieces around him which takes the pressure off of him. While Lamb will have to share targets with the likes of Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, he certainly has the ability and skills necessary for having a strong rookie season.

Lamb comes to the Cowboys from Oklahoma, where he was a consensus All-American in his junior year. In his final year with the Sooners, he caught 62 passes for 1327 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Looking at some of the other potential names for Rookie of the Year in 2020, Lamb seems to be in the best spot considering his team's position. Of the four quarterbacks drafted in the first round, only two have a real chance of starting the majority of the season. Tua Tagovailoa is more than likely to sit out most of the season with the Miami Dolphins to make sure his body is completely healed, while Jordan Love is sitting behind Aaron Rodgers barring an injury or some crazy unforeseen situation in Green Bay.

Looking at the two quarterbacks that could be starting at least a good portion of the season, Joe Burrow is on a rebuilding Cincinnati Bengals team that will more than likely struggle this season. Justin Herbert is on a decent team, but he is expected to still have a learning curve with the Los Angeles Chargers.

While there are some other skill position players, especially wide receivers who could be contenders, Lamb would have to be considered a favorite this season with the Cowboys.
