On Wednesday, for the first time in his career, Dak Prescott was a limited participant in Dallas Cowboys' practice. The star quarterback suffered an AC joint injury, as Ezekiel Elliott told reporters, and it appears as if that will carry over to Thursday.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett indicated on Thursday that Prescott is likely to be limited for the second consecutive practice session of the week. He noted that the fourth-year quarterback hasn't “really tested it much.”

He probably won’t throw very much today,” Garrett said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “I think rest is the best thing for him right now… I guess he’s progressing, but he hasn’t really tested it much.”

Rumors point to Prescott not throwing until Saturday, a day before the Cowboys' bout with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. However, it does not seem as if he will miss any time, especially considering that if the Cowboys win, they are in the playoffs.

After all, Prescott is a tough guy, according to his coach.

He's as tough as they come,” Garrett said on Wednesday, via Todd Archer of ESPN. “His physical toughness and mental toughness are on par with anybody I've been around, and that's just what he's all about. He handles success. He handles adversity. He handles issues as well as anybody.”

A Pro Bowl snub, Prescott is enjoying a career year in 2019, which happens to align with an expiring contract. He has thrown for 4,334 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions on a 65.5% completion rate. He has also never missed a game.
