The Dallas Cowboys fell short against the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, and there was injury added to insult following the game. According to Ian Rapoport, Dak Prescott injured his right index finger and sprained his left hand versus the Bears.

It is uncertain when or how Prescott sustained the injury in the game. Nevertheless, the injury doesn't appear to be serious enough to prevent him from suiting up in Week 15.

On Thursday, Prescott had his most inaccurate game of the season as he completed only 55.1 percent of his 49 attempts. The Cowboys' franchise quarterback was still able to throw for 334 yards and a touchdown.

Even though, most of Prescott's yards came when the game was well in hand for the Bears. After scoring the first touchdown of the game, Dallas was outscored 31-17 by Chicago.

As for his injury, considering that it is a hand injury, this could affect Prescott in his ability to throw the ball. Nevertheless, Prescott knows that Dallas is going to need him if they hope to salvage their playoff aspirations.

Prescott is having the best season of his career as he's totaled 4,122 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. This bodes well for Prescott as he's chosen to wait until the offseason to talk about his next contract.

Despite losing on Thursday, the Cowboys are still atop the NFC East with a 6-7 record. There's a decent chance that the NFC East is decided in Week 16. In addition, there's a chance that 7-9 or 8-8 will be good enough to secure the division crown.

The Cowboys will face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15 in a game that could need Prescott to deliver in the passing game. In light of that, it remains to be seen whether or not the 26-year-old is negatively affected by the injuries.
