Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Allen Hurns made headlines recently for his criticisms regarding the state of the team's offense. As a result, there is speculation about a rift happening with quarterback Dak Prescott and his receiving corps.

However, it appears that is not the case. According to Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, Prescott insists there is no bad blood in the locker room:

“I don’t worry about the locker room splitting,” Prescott said. “We have great leadership, great men in this locker room. With all of that being said, any time anything comes up and it’s even a hint that it could serve as that, we address it immediately.”

It is encouraging to see that Prescott is not taking any of the comments to heart. Running back Ezekiel Elliots has also done his part to keep the team optimistic. However, it is their job as team leaders to downplay any notion of bad chemistry in the locker room. Hurns is not the only player to call out the offense for hits shortcomings. Wide receiver Cole Beasley also expressed his distaste with their lack of execution.

Regardless, all of their struggles on offense this year can be traced back to Dak Prescott. The third-year quarterback has regressed severely since his stellar rookie campaign. His struggles have brought into question whether or not he is cut out to be the Cowboys franchise quarterback. Although Prescott is not entirely to blame for their abysmal start, he will continue to be the scapegoat until things improve.
