After a disappointing final season with the Los Angeles Rams, speedy wide receiver Tavon Austin has an opportunity for redemption with the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. Austin was traded to America's Team last month, and although it was initially uncertain what role he'd play in Dallas, there's been some clarity.

Surprisingly enough, the Cowboys will be using Austin a lot in the offense during the 2018 campaign. The team's brass let it be known he'll be a big part of the offense next season and now quarterback Dak Prescott also confirmed that fact while shedding some light on just how much the 27-year-old will be involved, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.

The Cowboys are going through a major transition phase offensively this year. The team recently parted ways with veteran wide receiver Dez Bryant and saw longtime tight end Jason Witten decided to head to the broadcast booth for ESPN after 15 seasons with the team.

With that being said, Prescott and company will have to find other players on the roster to fill the major voids left by losing Bryant and Witten with the start of the 2018 campaign a few months away.

Along with acquiring Austin this offseason, the Cowboys were also able to bring in wide receivers Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson to play alongside Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley in the receiving corps. Dallas also drafted wideout Cedrick Wilson out of Boise State and tight end Dalton Schultz out of Stanford.

Needless to say, it is uncertain how the Cowboys will fair during the 2018 NFL season, but it appears Jason Garrett and company will lean heavily on Austin as the team transitions into a new era in Dallas.
