With Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson no longer with the Dallas Cowboys, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is expected to become the undisputed top target downfield for Dak Prescott. The Cowboys quarterback seems to have full confidence that his chemistry with Lamb will continue in 2022, especially with the latter taking over a much bigger role in the team's passing attack.

Via Jon Machota of The Athletic:

Dak Prescott on a bigger role for Cowboys No. 1 WR CeeDee Lamb going forward: “It’s exciting, knowing this is only the beginning. He hasn’t even scratched the surface. For him to be the main guy, I know he’s ready for it.”

But even in 2021 when both Cooper and Wilson were still in Cowboys threads, Lamb was already the main attraction in Dallas' pass-heavy offense. The wideout out of Oklahoma led Dallas last season in receptions (79), targets (120), and receiving yards (1,102), while also coming up with six touchdown catches. Cooper was second on the team with a 16.00% target share, which will now spread out among the remaining weapons of Prescott, with Lamb likely to inherit most of it.

Lining up across Lamb will be Michael Gallup, who is another reliable threat downfield for the Cowboys, while James Washington arrives in Arlington on a one-year deal. Nevertheless, Cooper's resume warrants a WR1 designation in the coming 2022 NFL season.
