The Dallas Cowboys definitely felt the absence of Amari Cooper in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The four-time Pro-Bowler was forced to sit out Sunday's marquee matchup after testing positive for COVID-19. The 27-year-old will also be out of action for Dallas when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving.

Cooper has received heavy criticism for his recent predicament primarily because of his decision not to get vaccinated. The Cowboys wide receiver knew the repercussions of his decision and at this point, it's not only him who's suffering the consequences of the same. Dallas needs him on the field, but unfortunately for his team, Cooper is not available when they need him the most.

Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott has opened up about this current predicament. Prescott has refused to criticize Cooper and has instead, offered his full support for his embattled teammate:

“That’s my teammate. That’s my brother,” Prescott stated, via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. “I’m going to continue to back him and support him. This is everybody’s personal decision.”

This is not at all surprising considering how Prescott and Cooper are close friends. The outsiders may think that Cooper's decision is selfish and that he's damaging his team's chances this season, but it is clear that Dak Prescott is not having any of this narrative.
