Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has come under a lot of fire the last few weeks. The idea being, at least in a roundabout way, that his rookie season wasn't real. That, basically, he benefited from playing alongside all-world level talent and this season has exposed him to be a fraud.

Dak Prescott has heard those complains … and prefers them to keep coming.

“Keep questioning me,” Prescott said, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “Obviously if you’re questioning me, you don’t know me and you don’t know what I’m about. So keep questioning me. Have fun at it.”

Don't worry Dak, I am 100 percent sure that people outside of the Dallas fan bubble are having fun with this.

The Cowboys didn't play on Sunday. That's because they played, and lost to, the Los Angeles Chargers on Thanksgiving.

Dallas is now fully outside of the playoff bubble. Barring a miracle, with several National Football League teams falling apart down the stretch, it is likely the Cowboys will miss the playoffs this season.

Hot-take: This is a good thing. Dallas is incredibly injured at the moment. Get a solid NFL Draft pick, get Prescott another weapon, and reload — in a healthy fashion — for next season. It is OK to not be in the playoff hunt every waking second of each NFL season.

Furthermore, with the injuries depleting Dallas to the point of altering all of its plans, there is no real reason to get crazy wild with negative thoughts on Prescott. He's only in his second season. Him not yet being the next John Elway yet is OK.
