The Dallas Cowboys are making it official that Ezekiel Elliott will suit up on Sunday against the New York Giants. Dallas added Elliott to their 53-man roster on Saturday and have released Alfred Morris to make room for him per Adam Schefter.

Earlier this week, the Cowboys were able to finally reach an agreement with Elliott on a six-year, $90 million extension. The new deal makes the All-Pro rusher the NFL's highest-paid running back; exceeding what the Los Angeles Rams gave Todd Gurley prior to the 2018 season.

Along with the $90 million in total salary, Elliott's new contract will include $50 million in guarantees. It's safe to say that the Cowboys running back is content with how the negotiations went with the organization.

With Elliott being signed, he has returned to the team this week after holding out for the entirety of training camp. The plan is for Elliott to play on Sunday and people should expect him to handle his usual workload.

However, rookie Tony Pollard could see some touches in the offense with how he performed in the preseason. Pollard stepped in as the starter while Elliott remained away from the team during training camp.

Along with Elliott being added to the active roster, the team released Alfred Morris in a corresponding move. Dallas signed Morris earlier in the offseason to provide depth for the team in case Elliott didn't show up.

The Cowboys will begin their season against the Giants on Sunday.

If they weren't already favored in the game, they definitely are now with Elliott returning to the starting lineup.
