The Dallas Cowboys may start Cooper Rush over Ben DiNucci in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers since Andy Dalton will miss his second straight game, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Dalton is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and DiNucci struggled against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, a game the Cowboys lost to drop to 2-6 on the season.

For Cooper Rush to play against the Steelers, the Cowboys have to activate him from the practice squad.

Ben DiNucci was 21-of-40 for 180 yards in Week 8 against the Eagles. He lost two fumbles and didn't throw a touchdown.

No matter who is starting against the Steelers, the Cowboys are probably going to get blown out. Pittsburgh is undefeated on the season and coming off a big road win against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8. Dallas is currently the laughingstock of the NFL, as the team is putrid on both sides of the ball and players are already talking behind head coach Mike McCarthy's back.

Even though the NFC East is the worst division in football, the Cowboys likely won't win the division, as the Eagles look like they are the best team in the division. All signs point toward Dallas missing the playoffs again. The team may as well start looking toward next season when Dak Prescott will be back in the lineup.
