The New York Jets have been suffering through a rough season once again, even after making aggressive moves in the offseason to improve their roster. Unfortunately, with struggles comes the likelihood of change. One of those changes could be trading star safety Jamal Adams.

Following the earlier reports that the Jets were open to trading star running back Le'Veon Bell, more rumors have begun coming out of New York.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Dallas Cowboys are discussing a potential trade with the Jets for star safety Jamal Adams.

Jerry Jones has been very open about the fact that the Cowboys are looking to an impact move ahead of the trade deadline. Dallas has also been very transparent about their desire to acquire some help at the safety position. It doesn't get much better than Adams.

Adams has been one of the league's top safeties over the last couple of years and joining a contender would only make him hungrier.

Through the first seven games of the season with the Jets, Adams has racked up 39 total tackles, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and five defended passes. Adding that kind of playmaking potential to the Cowboys' secondary would make them a much better team.

Expect to hear more rumors come out in the near future with the trade deadline just over two hours away. As for right now, the Cowboys and Jets are looking to make big moves.
