The Dallas Cowboys have been without star wide receiver Amari Cooper over the past two weeks. Cooper, who is unvaccinated, has been sidelined for the team's previous two games after testing positive for COVID-19.

With a matchup in New Orleans on the slate for Thursday, the Cowboys got an important update regarding their key offensive weapon.

According to ESPN's Ed Werder, Cooper is expected to travel with the team to New Orleans and be active for their matchup against the Saints.

While Cooper is officially listed as questionable, it sure looks like he's going to make his return.

This is a big boost for the Cowboys, who lost each of the games Cooper was sidelined for. The offense looked dismal against the Chiefs in the 19-9 Week 11 loss. And despite putting up 33 against the Raiders on Thanksgiving Day, the Cowboys suffered an overtime defeat on their home turf.

Cooper is one of Dak Prescott's favorite targets and has been impressive once again in 2021. The seventh-year wide receiver has hauled in 43 receptions for 583 yards and five touchdowns across nine games this year. He will look to add to those numbers now that he's ready to suit up once more.

After a remarkable 6-1 start to the campaign, the Cowboys now find themselves at 7-4 and looking to protect their two-game cushion in the NFC East. The Saints have a myriad of offensive issues of their own, so this could be a prime opportunity for the Cowboys to figure out their own issues ahead of their playoff push. With Cooper back in the fold, Prescott and the rest of the offense should feel a bit more confident.
