The Dallas Cowboys beat the New England Patriots on their own turf for the first time since 1987, but it might have cost them quarterback Dak Prescott.

According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Prescott suffered a right calf strain during the final play in overtime that propelled the Cowboys to a 35-29 victory. He is set to be re-evaluated on Monday when they return to Dallas to determine the extent of his injury.

For what it's worth, per Ed Werner of ESPN, Prescott was unable to put pressure and step his right foot after the game. Apparently, Ezekiel Elliott had to help him move to the Cowboys' locker room.

Dak Prescott was phenomenal for the Cowboys on Sunday to break their 34-year winless streak in New England. He completed 36 of his 51 passes for 445 yards and three touchdowns—all while allowing just one interception.

It was a close game throughout, with the two teams ending up in overtime after a back-and-forth affair. However, it was Prescott's brilliance that stood out the most. His final pass to CeeDee Lamb to win the Cowboys the game was just perfect, though fans initially did not know he was hurt afterwards.

Hopefully, Prescott's injury is not serious and he won't be sidelined for long. Luckily for the Cowboys, they have a bye week coming up, which means their star QB has more time to rest and heal his injury before returning to game action in November.
