The Dallas Cowboys will re-sign offensive lineman Adam Redmond, per ProFootballTalk's Darin Gantt.

Redmond, 26, is a former undrafted free agent center out of Harvard who linked up with Ivy League peer Jason Garrett and the Cowboys in 2018 after playing in several games the previous season with the Indianapolis Colts.

After going undrafted in 2016, the 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman initially signed with the Colts and was later released and joined the AFC South franchise's practice squad, signing a futures contract in 2017. Redmond protected now-retired quarterback Andrew Luck as a part of Indy's offensive line for just four games in 2017 before being waived in October.

Redmond briefly spent time with the Buffalo Bills' practice squad before being claimed off waived by Dallas. After playing 10 games with the Cowboys in 2018, Redmond joined the team's injured reserve (IR) list starting on Nov. 2019, knocking the center out for the entire year.

The Cowboys have another free agent to attend to, however—one with a much greater public profile. Star quarterback Dak Prescott is a free agent this offseason and Dallas is attempting to agree to a long-term deal with the two-time Pro-Bowler. Otherwise, the Cowboys could franchise tag the former Offensive Rookie of the Year winner, although neither side seems to want that particular outcome.

Prescott threw a second-best in the NFL 4,902 passing yards with a 65.1 completion percentage for 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this past season.
