The Indianapolis Colts have hosted the NFL combine since 1987, but at least one team would like to see that change, the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys showcase a new state of the art facility and they would like to host the combine at the training facility in Frisco.

“Yes, I believe we can have the combine here,” Cowboys executive vice president Jerry Jones Jr. said, via Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Was that the reason for this to be built? Not at all. But as you sit there and think about what are the possibilities if you do build it, there’s no question that’s on the radar.”

According to Jones Jr., a big reason the combine has always been held in Indianapolis is that there are three hospitals in close range and that is important for doing medical exams on all the players.

“The Star” built a new medical facility with it and it has a “concussion center, imaging center, surgery suites, urgent care center, research space, outpatient rehabilitation and a pharmacy.”

All those could help with getting the combine to come to Dallas and out of the cold, but the NFL has made no indications that it is something that they want to move.

The draft is something that has moved around the last few years, but that is also more of a fan event. The NFL combine, although it has some fan interaction, is more about the teams and the players, so moving it around might not make as much sense.
