Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle David Irving is currently in a bit of hot water with the league, and he may find himself under suspension yet again:

According to ESPN, David Irving is facing a possible suspension for, once again, violating the NFL's drug policy. And, per the Star-Telegram, this is the third straight year in which Irving faces a possible suspension for violating the league's drug policy, bringing a cause for concern about whether he'll play again:

Irving, 25, opened the 2018 season with a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy after violating the PED policy in 2017. The Cowboys decided to move on from Irving after a tumultuous 2018 season that began with him missing OTAs and the offseason program dealing with personal issues, stemming from a custody battle for his daughter. He was then suspended by the NFL for violating the drug test. He stayed away from training camp to his personal affairs in order and do rehab.

For what it's worth, David Irving has gone on the record to defend himself, claiming that he was hired by the NFL because he's a good player, not because he's a “saint” or a “Boy Scout.”

However, it will be interesting to see if Irving ultimately faces suspension, yet again, from the league that hired him not to be a Boy Scout and if he ever takes to the field in uniform again.
