Dallas Cowboys bad boy David Irving recently told TMZ that he's upset because he's been told by the NFL that he can't smoke weed.

Fans of the game are already aware that Irving has just been suspended by game officials for being caught smoking marijuana — which isn't as big of a deal as it used to be, but it's still against the rules for NFL players.

Irving, of course, thinks the rule is “bull****,” and while that's neither here nor there, it hasn't done much to dispel the notion that he's the league's bad boy for not listening to what they have to say.

From TMZ:

“Once they do that, give me a call,” David Irving said … “Cuz it's bull**** how I have Xanax bars n hydros right next to me to take, given to me by the NFL of course. However, we can't smoke the same weed the staff itself smokes.”

Technically speaking, David Irving is still a Cowboy. However, his contract is up as of next week, and based on what he's been going on about as of late, it doesn't look like he'll either get a contract extension or a contract renewal. What's more, if he's still suspended when the new season begins, no team will pick him up.

There is no denying his potential, but the league doesn't do well with those who try to fight back against the system.

Sounds like that's more BS than anything else, and Irving — an otherwise great player — needs to get it together.
