Members of the Dallas Cowboys past and present don’t quite know why wide receiver Dez Bryant is still on the free-agent market. After legendary safety Darren Woodson and vice president Stephen Jones spoke about their bewilderment about Bryant’s situation, long-time Dallas pass rusher DeMarcus Ware is the latest to weigh in on the former Cowboys wideout's inability to find work.

“I talked to Dez last week, and I don’t know why he hasn’t gotten a job,” Ware said per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. “From the training I see him doing, he can still get out there and do it. He has a lot more years in him. A team is going to pick him.

“. . . His spirits are up. Dez still has that bite to go out there and play. That’s what’s keeping him training and getting him ready for somebody to give him a call.”

It’s coming close to two months since the Cowboys cut Bryant, and he still hasn’t found a new team. That wait is expected to be even longer with the recent report that Dez will likely remain a free agent until the start of training camp.

Another former Cowboys great in Deion Sanders has suggested that Dallas should just say sorry and bring Bryant back considering their inability to replace him. But Jerry Jones has already shot down the notion of bringing Bryant back in the past, so the wideout will most likely be playing for a brand new team next season-if any team does pick him up like Ware expects.
