It was revealed that LeBron James almost joined the Dallas Cowboys during the NBA lockout in 2011 to play tight end. In a conversation with NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano, DeMarcus Ware spoke about James' potential in the NFL.

Ware started off by saying that James wouldn't have been able to block him coming off of the edge. However, there were offensive tackles that had a tough time slowing down Ware. Therefore, saying James wouldn't have been able to block him wasn't really a knock on the NBA superstar.

On the other hand, Ware did admit that LeBron James would have been dominant at the tight end position. At around 6-foot-8, 250 pounds, James would tower over smaller defenders. Plus, his athleticism and speed for his size would be unmatched by anyone in the NFL.

Some may not know that James was actually a standout football player in high school, besides being a remarkable basketball player. In his junior season in high school, James actually played wide receiver, hauling in 57 receptions for 1,160 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Of course, James chose to go the NBA route and it's safe to say that he made the right choice. But it's hard not painting the picture of what could have been if James had signed with the Cowboys in 2011.

Even at his size, James would've been less than enthused to be blocking Ware, or any edge rusher in the NFL, for that matter. At the same time, Ware knows that the current Los Angeles Lakers star would've made some noise in the NFL.
