The Dallas Cowboys made yet another splash with the signing of defensive end Everson Griffin. He has since wasted no time in declaring his expectations for the 2020 NFL season.

Griffin recently sent out a video message to fans expressing his excitement and Super Bowl hopes this season, via the team's official Twitter:

“Cowboys Nation, I’m here, baby. It’s time to get back on the grind,” Griffen said. “I’m excited to be with my teammates. I’m excited about this new journey. I’m excited about working towards going and get this championship. It’s that time to grind. It’s that time to learn. It’s that time to go get it. Can’t wait, Cowboys Nation. Let’s go!”

Griffin is not the only new player in Dallas to make a bold prediction. Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix also made it clear that the Super Bowl is their primary objective for the 2020 campaign.

It is encouraging to see that the new faces on the Cowboys' roster are already well aware of the expectations this team has. Although such declarations have long been made on an annual basis, it is easy to see why they are optimistic about making it come to fruition this time.

Griffin was easily the most valuable player free agent left following a prolonged stint on the market. The four-time Pro Bowler is coming off a stellar 2019 campaign that saw him register 42 tackles, 8.0 sacks, and an interception. He is now slated to provide Dallas with plenty of bang for their buck after signing a one-year, $6 million deal.
