The Dallas Cowboys seem to have an abundance of riches at running back. In addition to two-time rushing champion Ezekiel Elliott, rookie runner Tony Pollard has made a strong impression.

After tallying 103 yards and a score in a Week 3 contest against the Miami Dolphins, the aforementioned Elliott had nothing but praise for Pollard when he spoke to reporter Jon Machota.

Pollard is clearly a very talented player. During his career at the University of Memphis, he played a lot of great football, at a lot of different positions. While the majority of his playing time was at running back, he played receiver and returned kicks for the Tigers. He probably won't see the field much behind Elliott, but he could step in as a receiver if injuries set in.

While Pollard is a decent player, he isn't crucial to the Dallas offense. Elliott plays a vast majority of snaps for the Cowboys, and that won't change. Quarterback Dak Prescott has been playing great football, but the offense as a whole is yet to face a true test.

The first real trial will come on Sunday, when the Cowboys face the New Orleans Saints. The teams met last year in Dallas, and the Cowboys scraped out a victory, 13-10. The game was a defensive battle through and through, as both teams looked incapable of moving the ball at times.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Week 4 become the game that the Cowboys' offense is judged by.
