Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is questionable for the team's game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday as he continues to nurse a calf injury.

The former All-Pro suggested Thursday he would give it a go and will likely suit up unless he experiences a drastic setback.

It has been a rough year for the former Ohio State star. Elliott is averaging under four yards per carry and has five rushing touchdowns, struggling to help the Cowboys kick their rushing attack into higher gear.

Of course, there is something to be said for all the injuries up front. The Cowboys are essentially without the entirety of their starting O-line with Zack Martin on injured reserve. Moreover, La'el Collins did not play a single game this year, and Tyron Smith was already on IR after undergoing neck injury.

Still, Elliott is not making any excuses. He explained just how frustrated he was on Thursday:

“You have to be frustrated,” the Cowboys' RB said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “If you aren't frustrated, then you don't give a f*ck. I know everyone in this locker room and in this building is frustrated.”

Many have been frustrated with Zeke's lack of explosiveness and carelessness with the ball.

Ezekiel Elliott has already tied his career-high with six fumbles, and his longest run of the year is just 24 yards. That said, the 25-year-old is hardly mailing it in, instead determined to play through injury.

The Cowboys will hope to at least build some semblance of momentum with a win over the Bengals. A strong game from Elliott would certainly help that cause.
