While quarterback Dak Prescott is the leader of the Dallas Cowboys and wide receiver Amari Cooper has been huge since coming over in a midseason trade with the Oakland Raiders, running back Ezekiel Elliott is still the engine of the Cowboys' offense, and former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings agrees.

Elliott had a sensational season for Dallas, racking up a league-leading 1,434 yards and six touchdowns while averaging 4.7 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 77 receptions for 567 yards and three scores en route to a Pro Bowl selection.

It marked the second time Elliott has won a rushing title, and it also represented an improvement in Elliott's versatility, as he had caught just 58 passes total in his two NFL seasons going into 2018.

The 23-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Ohio State University, was originally selected by the Cowboys with the fourth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He took the league by storm during his rookie campaign, rushing for an NFL-best 1,631 yards and 15 scores, adding 32 catches for 363 yards while reaching the end zone once as a receiver.

Last season, Elliott played in just 10 games due to a six-game suspension, and during those 10 contests, he totaled 983 yards and seven scores and also snared 26 balls for 269 yards and a couple of touchdowns as a receiver.

The Cowboys went 10-6 and captured the NFC East division title this year and will play host to the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs on Saturday night. The Seahawks beat the Cowboys in Seattle earlier in the season.
