The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2019 season with a 7-9 record, coming in second place in a weak NFC East and missing out on the playoffs.

Many speculated that this would be the end of Jason Garrett's long tenure as the head coach in Dallas. However, so far there has been no such move.

Now it appears anyone that's curious about his future will have to wait a little bit longer. According to a report from Jane Slater, no resolution will be coming on Tuesday.

The Cowboys simply don't seem ready to make a move at this second. Clearly, this is something they want to keep in a small circle at the moment.

Due to that, it's hard to really get a gauge on which way they are leaning. There seemed to be a lot of evidence towards the end of the season that Garrett would be out as head coach if they failed to make the playoffs. People appeared to be getting very confident that was the way they were heading.

However, that confidence started to waiver and suddenly it seemed like no one was sure of exactly what was going to happen. It seems that's exactly where the franchise is as well.

With that in mind, this is something that could take some time. Maybe the Cowboys seriously don't know which direction they want to go. Or they could be looking for a replacement and want to wait until they have an idea before they cut ties with Garrett. At the same time, they could be trying to work out an extension with the head coach.

At this point in time, there really is no new news on the situation other than that it looks like a decision won't be made today. This could still go any number of ways, we will all just have to wait until we get more information as it unfolds.
