The Dallas Cowboys gave defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence a contract extension earlier this offseason, but they are far from done.

Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper are all looking for new deals, and slowly but surely, the Cowboys are working on negotiating with each player.

The good news is that everything seems to be going smoothly thus far, and Dallas tight end Jason Witten expects that extensions will eventually get done for all three of them:

“Look, this organization is extremely loyal to signing their own players,” Witten said, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News. “They believe in that. I think when it all kind of clears out, that will be the same thing. I think these players know that — Amari, Zeke, Dak — that those things get resolved because both sides want to be there.”

If anyone would know how the Cowboys' front office operates, it's Witten, as, aside from the 2018 campaign where Witten stepped into the broadcasting booth for one year before announcing his NFL return, he has been a member of the Dallas organization since 2003.

“I love how they're handling it,” said of his teammates. “They're here working and they're not getting caught up in that. I don't see that being any issue because as long as I've been in this organization that's never been an issue, and I think those players know that.”

The Cowboys are coming off of a 2018 season in which they won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title. They then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.
