It's quite a big deal to compare a quarterback to a living legend like Tom Brady. However, that's exactly what Jerry Jones did when he was asked about who Cowboys QB Dak Prescott reminds him of.

He was asked about which among his iconic quarterbacks does his current QB1 reminds him of. Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams recorded what the Cowboys owner said on his radio show.

“Oh, I think he’s neither. I really do,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan, referring to Romo and Troy Aikman. “I think he’s more like [Tom] Brady. Now, I’m not going to. . . .We know Tom Brady, and he’s no Tom Brady. I didn’t say that. But the point is he will evolve and is evolving into a guy that will beat you. He will beat you with different circumstances and different players and different type teams. He will be on teams that have better defense than others. He will be on teams that have better protection than others. I think we got us one in Dak.”

While Jones immediately clears that there can only be one Tom Brady, it's not hard to see why he sees the parallels between the two of them.

Both QBs weren't selected in the first two rounds of their respective drafts. Brady was the 199th overall pick at the turn of the century while Prescott was the 135th selection in the 2016 draft.

They also have similar numbers in passing yards and won games. However, Brady's two Super Bowl titles by his fifth season are the important thing setting them apart.

It will be interesting to see if Prescott manages to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl title this season. If he does, then people may start taking Jones' comparison seriously.
