Another year, another Dallas Cowboys season ending in the early stages of the playoffs. “America's Team” looked promising heading into their Wild Card matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. However, countless penalties and some inexplicable coaching decisions led to yet another first-round exit for the team.

Speaking on the local radio show The Musers, Cowboys legend Troy Aikman ripped into Jerry Jones' team, comparing them to the Jacksonville Jaguars or the New York Jets.

For insight on the 2022 NFL Divisional Playoffs, listen below:

Here's Aikman's full quote on the topic, via Newsweek:

“If you don't do anything in the postseason, then you're really at the end of the day, no different than the Jacksonville Jaguars or the New York Jets that didn't get in… Fairly or unfairly, this is a team that, I don't know if they've won three or four playoff games since. There's not a track record in the postseason, yet it is a team that's expected to be in the Super Bowl each season.”

The Cowboys‘ playoff misfortune in the last decade or so is well-documented. This season seemed like a different story. Their offense with Dak Prescott under center looked promising, the defense was stout, and everything was lining up for a major postseason run. However, the wheels came off in the playoffs again, as the Cowboys' undisciplined play came back to bite them.
