Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones won't rule out wide receiver Michael Gallup for their Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers. On Monday, Jones gave an update on Gallup and said there is a chance he could go, which would honestly be a bit shocking.

Gallup has missed the last two games after having surgery on his meniscus. He was expected to miss a month, so if he can come back, it would be less time than the expected recovery.

“I’m not ruling it out Sunday. We got to see how he does out there,” Jones said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com.

Even if Gallup is back, the team is still expected to be without left tackle Tyron Smith who suffered a high ankle sprain in the team's loss to the New Orleans Saints. Even though he probably can't play this week, Jones said the team couldn't have gotten better news, so it seems he shouldn't be out for an extended period of time.

Gallup being back would be a big boost for an offense that struggled to move the ball against the Saints. So far this season Gallup has caught 13 passes for 226 yards, and even though he hasn't gotten a touchdown, the offense looked better with him as an option.

The Green Bay Packers come to town on Sunday, and it's going to be a battle between two of the better teams in the NFC and the Cowboys are going to need to have all hands on deck to come away with a win.
