Dez Bryant has finally found a new team with the New Orleans Saints. That move comes close to seven months after Jerry Jones decided to release him from the Dallas Cowboys.

When asked about Bryant’s new situation with the Saints, he says he’s happy for his former wideout and where he ended up.

“I haven't talked to him, no, but I do congratulate him,” Jones said per Kate Hairopolous of the Dallas Morning News. “I'm really proud for him. I think a lot of those guys in New Orleans. …I want the very best for Dez and the very best for Dez is for him to be on that football field and doing what he loves to do the most. …They're having an outstanding year, and so I think it will be a great spot for him. …

Despite Jones’ decision to move on from Bryant and the wideout's shots fired at the Cowboys over the past few months, it seems as though Jones still has a lot of genuine affection for the former Cowboy. They were spotted attending a Beyonce concert together back in September, which was likely a sign that their relationship isn’t completely severed.

Of course, Jones and the Cowboys won’t have to wait too long to get their chance to see Bryant in action with the Saints as they host New Orleans at the end of the month.

Jones says he expects a lot of Cowboys fans cheering for Dez. And he's actually hoping that's the case since Bryant brought the Cowboys fans so many great moments during his eight years with the team.
