Jerry Jones is known for being one of the most vocal owners in the entire NFL and has caused quite a few headlines to surface over the last couple of years. Plenty of rumors have surfaced about how he feels about head coach Jason Garrett as well.

After finishing the 2018 NFL season with a 10-6 record, the Cowboys were bounced out of the playoffs in the NFC Divisional round by the Los Angeles Rams.

In a new quote shared by Jon Machota of Dallas News, Jones made it clear that he has trust in his head coach.

The future is looking bright for the Cowboys following the 2018 season. Dak Prescott has continued playing solid football, Ezekiel Elliott is one of the top running backs in the NFL, and Amari Cooper was acquired from the Oakland Raiders. Add in the growing young defense and Dallas could be a contender for years to come in the NFC.

Garrett has been the head coach in Dallas since 2010 and has led the team to a 77-59 record. He has received a lot of criticism due to the fact that the franchise has not gone past the divisional round of the playoffs in his tenure on the sidelines.

Only time will tell if the Cowboys have a team that can get them past that point in the next few years. Garrett certainly seems to be safe for now.

Even with the rumors persisting that Garrett could be on the hot seat, Jones has made it publicly known that he trusts his coach.
