Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he expects wide receiver Amari Cooper will be able to play in Week 12 against the New England Patriots. He also said he expects La'el Collins and DeMarcus Lawrence to be able to go.

Cooper playing on Sunday is good news, especially against a defense like the Patriots have. Cooper has been dealing with lower-body injuries since August and he has been limited at times this season. In the Cowboys' last game against the Detroit Lions, Cooper only played in about half of the team's offensive snaps.

Heading into the Lions game, Cooper was getting a lot of praise from cornerback Darius Slay, saying he was the best wideout in the league at winning the battle at the line of scrimmage.

“‘I might give nods to (Cooper as the best) just cause he’s a lot more explosive than all of them, just cause of the fact that he can run,’ Slay said via Cowboys Wire. “‘He came out as a 4.3 guy (in the 40).'”

That type of skill-set is going to be important against a Patriots defense that has made life really tough on opposing teams. This is a big game against the Patriots because with a win they will take total control of the NFC East. The Eagles have a tough matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, so if the Cowboys win, and the Seahawks win, the Cowboys will have a two-game lead.

How much Cooper will be able to play is still to be seen, but any time he spends on the field is a big boost for the offense.
