The Dallas Cowboys had a successful season last year, winning the NFC East. Yet, that isn't enough to keep Jerry Jones happy and he has higher expectations for his team going into the 2019 season.

“Everything we were about was improving from where we were this year,” Jones said, via the Star-Telegram. “There is no reason. There is no tangible reason we shouldn’t be expected to be better than we were last year.”

The Cowboys biggest signings this offseason were on the defensive side locking up defensive end Robert Quinn, safety George Iloka, and defensive tackle Trysten Hill.

Even with the changes on defense Jones thinks some of the coaching changes they made on the offensive side are actually going to make the biggest dividends.

“I think we have (made improvements) coaching wise,” Jones said. “We are going to do that scheme-wise. We are going to have real scheme changes on offense. That is going to improve us. I don’t mean to be trite. We are going to make a big effort to be better offensively. We are going to try to challenge the defense more. We are going to try to expand our options.”

With all the expectations that Jones is making it really seems like a make or break year for Jason Garrett. If he can't get this team to be a Super Bowl contender it really feels like the offseason that he could finally make a change, something some fans have been calling to happen for the few years before this last season.
