Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Randy Gregory is a star at his position. However, he's had a number of issues since joining the NFL. Those issues have kept him off the field and the production to a minimum.

Dallas still believes they have a superstar on their hands if he can ever get it all together, though.

Currently, Gregory is serving an “indefinite suspension” and waiting to be reinstated by the league. And according to a chat with 105.3 The Fan, Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones feels there is positive momentum in that front.

“Yes, I know every detail about Randy and the league and us,” Jones said, via ProFootballTalk. “I’m not at liberty to talk about those details, but I work on it probably every other day. And, so, the answer that is evolving and I am positive about it.”

Gregory was selected in the second round (60th overall) by the Cowboys back in the 2015 NFL Draft. However, he has appeared in just 28 out of a possible 80 games. That's an absolutely miserable ratio right there.

Jones seems very positive about the future for Gregory, though. He says that he is “not at liberty to talk about those details” when discussing the progress of the situation. That being said, Jones makes it pretty clear that he is very involved in the situation.

Jones goes as far as saying the answer  “is evolving and I am positive about that.” Sure, it doesn't mean that Gregory is going to be back for Week 1 or anything, but things are progressing.

It was not long ago that the question of whether or not the pass rusher would ever play in the NFL again was being raised. Now it seems like those concerns are behind the owner of the Cowboys.

Jones seems certain that things are moving in the right direction for Gregory. Maybe we will see him on the field some time during the 2020 season.
