When NFL great LaDainian Tomlinson speaks up, most listen. The other LT wasn't only a stud rushing outside of the tackles and through the A or B gaps, he remains one of the greatest receiving threats out of the backfield of all-time.

Dallas Cowboys back Ezekiel Elliott, though he doesn't possess the same receiving skills, has a chance to be that great. LT knows it and offered up a bit of advice for the Boys youngster, via Stefan Stevenson of the Star-Telegram.

“You’ve got to continue to challenge yourself and be honest with yourself in many different ways,” said Tomlinson, who helped host All Pro Dad day on the TCU campus along with Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson. “The off-season was my time to dissect my game and I was hard on myself. I attacked the things I needed to get better at.”

Tomlinson remains one of the best backs to ever play in the NFL. For a good half-decade during a good chunk of the early-to-mid-2000s, he represented an out-of-this-world dual-threat back.

As a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time First Team All-Pro player, the man racked up 13,684 yards and 85 touchdowns on the ground to go along with 4,772 and 17 scores through the air.

While Elliott isn't the same receiving threat, the advice still fits. He understands everybody's looking at him.

“At the end of the day, Zeke is a guy, as I was, say whatever you want, people look to him,” he said. “Those linemen, people on defense, he brings energy to that team. His reactions and the things that he does — everybody is looking at that.”

Elliott, 22, is entering the third year of his young NFL career. He's tallied 2,614 yards and 22 scores on the ground with a superb yards-per-carry of 4.6 in two seasons with the Cowboys.
