In 2016, Dak Prescott and company burst on the scene dominating the competition in the NFC. The Dallas Cowboys were thought to have a promising future with Prescott under center and Ezekiel Elliott coming out of the backfield, but last season was disappointing to say the least.

Although the Cowboy are coming off a season in which they missed the playoffs and Prescott having somewhat of a sophomore slump, Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson sees the Dallas gunslinger bouncing back in 2018. Tomlinson thinks the Cowboys are still in the mix to be one of the best teams in the conference with Prescott forced to prove his worth this year, via The Dallas Morning News.

“I still think that they'll be right there. They'll be a strong team. I still believe that they will be able to run the football and I think Dak [Prescott] will surprise some people this year. I know most people think because of the lack of weapons outside that Dak might not put up the type of numbers that most of the top quarterback will this year, but I disagree with that. This will force Dak to find connections with other guys. Allen Hurns, guys that are new to the team, he's gonna find connections with those guys.”

The Cowboys will be experimenting with some new offensive weapons this season in the wake of Jason Witten's retirement and Dez Bryant being released back in April. Dallas brought in wide receivers Allen Hurns and Tavon Austin during the offseason to help fill the void with both players potentially playing major roles in the offense this season.

However, there's no guarantee the Cowboys won't miss a beat without two of their best offensive weapons of the past decade. Prescott will be under tremendous pressure to produce while trying to lead this team back into the postseason.
