The Dallas Cowboys are so eager to get back on the field as they look to rebound from a forgettable 2020 NFL season in which they did not just miss the playoffs, but also lost Dak Prescott for most of the campaign due to a devastating lower-body injury.

Well, Prescott is healthy now, and according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the quarterback is ready to go. The Cowboys have very little to worry about when it comes to his health heading into the season opener against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

“Dak Prescott is the least of the Cowboys' concerns. He took every rep in practice this week. No issues whatsoever with that twice surgically-repaired ankle or the shoulder that kept him out for the bulk of training camp. Dak looks like Dak right now.”

To rewind, Prescott suffered the injury in Week 5 of last season during a home game against the New York Giants. The Cowboys were already not looking great at that point despite the win in that game, as they went 2-2 in their first four games in the 2020 season. After that, the Cowboys relied on Andy Dalton to drive the offense, but they only garnered a 4-7 slate and missed the boat to the playoffs while finishing with a 6-10 ledger.

Prescott could still be dealing with some rust after such a long layoff, but all those should be knocked off when the Cowboys meet the reigning Super Bowl champions on Thursday night.
