The Dallas Cowboys selected University of Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb with the 18th overall pick of the NFL Draft late last month, nabbing a guy some feel is the best receiver in the 2020 class.

Of course, Lamb is also part of a draft class that is incredibly deep at wide out, so there has been a lot of debate as to whom the best receiver prospect actually is.

Nevertheless, Lamb is unquestionably one of the top guys, and now, the Cowboys have a potentially lethal trio of wide receivers in Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Lamb.

An NFL offensive coordinator is a huge fan of the Cooper-Lamb pairing in particular, saying that the two pass-catchers complement one another perfectly:

“They are perfect for each other,” said the coordinator, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. “Amari is a great route runner with speed. Lamb is physical and really good after the catch — a baller.”

Lamb spent three seasons at Oklahoma, arriving at the school in 2017.

He had an impressive freshman campaign, logging 46 catches for 807 yards and seven touchdowns. He proceeded to show significant improvement during his sophomore season, catching 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 11 scores.

Lamb then exploded in his junior year, hauling in 62 receptions for 1,327 yards while reaching the end zone 14 times.

The Cowboys will certainly have to straighten things out with Dak Prescott before they get too excited about their triumvirate of receivers, but if and when they do lock Prescott up with a long-term deal, they should be one heck of an offense to deal with in 2020 and beyond.
