The New England Patriots have already lost a handful of key free agents this offseason, including left tackle Nate Solder. Cameron Fleming is currently one of the main candidates to potentially fill Solder’s spot on Tom Brady’s blindside. However, the Patriots could also face a fight to keep him as Fleming is set to visit the Dallas Cowboys for two days, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.

The Cowboys are hosting Patriots OT Cameron Fleming for a visit on Monday and Tuesday, source said. New England would like to bring him back, but that’s up in the air now.

Fleming, 25, was a former fourth-round pick by the Patriots in 2014. He has primarily been a backup lineman during his time with the Pats, but he has had some significant experience filling in as a starter at both left and right tackle.

Losing Fleming would be another big blow for the Pats, who have also lost Danny Amendola, Malcolm Butler, and Dion Lewis aside from Solder. They have recently signed veteran Matt Tobin as another potential option on that offensive line, but he graded quite poorly per Pro Football Focus while playing left tackle for the Seattle Seahawks last season.

As for the Cowboys, Fleming would add more depth to an already talented offensive line which features Tyron Smith and La’el Collins at the starting tackle spots. Fleming would give Dallas more insurance for Smith, who had an injury-plagued season in 2017. The three-time First-team All-Pro left tackle battled through a variety of different ailments before ending the year on injured reserve.
