Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Randall Cobb is coming off of his least productive season since his rookie campaign, as he hauled in just 38 receptions for 383 yards and a couple of touchdowns in his final year with the Green Bay Packers.

Earlier this week, Cobb posted an Instagram story that showed a potato chip sitting on his shoulder.

Three guesses as to what that means.

“I’ve always got it; that’s nothing new,” a light-hearted Cobb said, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. “I’ve had a chip on my shoulder since I was seven.”

Cobb played in just nine games this past season due to injuries and has been on a steady decline ever since his breakout season back in 2014 when he caught 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 scores, but the 28-year-old is looking to rebound with a new team:

“Obviously, you never want to miss games first off,” said Cobb. “You never want to not produce. As a receiver, we all want to have a hundred catches and go for 1,400 yards, but that’s not always the case. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the production I’ve had in the past. Obviously, missing games, you don’t want to miss games. I want to be on the field, and I want to provide everything I can for this team.”

The Tennessee native, who played his collegiate football at the University of Kentucky, was originally selected by the Packers in the second round (64th pick overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

But is he finished? Cowboys wide receivers coach Sanjay Lal doesn't think so:

“I don’t think he’s lost a step,” Lal said. “He has a chip on his shoulder because people think he’s washed up. Those are his words. So he did great all offseason, training. We train hard here. And he’s all in on that stuff.”
