With the Dallas Cowboys losing Cole Beasley they are on the market for another wide receiver and it looks like that guy might be Randall Cobb.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN Cobb is in Frisco on Monday to take a visit with the Cowboys. Cobb has been a solid player since coming into the league in 2011 but last year he dealt with injuries and that kept him off the field and hurt his production.

There were some thoughts that Cobb might come back to the Packers on a cheap contract but at the scouting combine general manager Brian Gutekunst thanked Cobb for his time with the Packers but didn't seem to hint at all that he would be coming back.

“Randall’s been a great player for us. He’s one of the all-time Packers. We’re still putting that puzzle together,” Gutekunst said Wednesday via USA Today. “Obviously, with draft meetings and free agency meetings, and now we’re here at the combine. As we get all the information together as we approach the next few weeks, we’ll get into that.”

Last season in nine games Cobb had 38 receptions for 383 yards and two touchdowns. Even when he was on the field it was clear he wasn't 100 percent and it affected him.

If he can get healthy he will be a nice veteran receiver for Dak Prescott and should be a good replacement for Beasley.

It's unclear if a deal is close to getting done, but it seems like it makes sense for both sides.
