After spending the first eight years of his career in Green Bay Randall Cobb signed with the Dallas Cowboys during the offseason and his reason was simple, he wanted to play for a championship. Cobb signed a one year deal for $5 million with America's team and thinks that this is a team that has the talent to win it all.

“Once I talked to everybody, I knew this was the place,” Cobb said, via Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. “I definitely believe in this team. I felt like I wanted to be on a team that was a contender, and I definitely believe that we have the ability. It’s just putting the pieces together.”

Cobb also took a pretty big shot at the Packers saying it was refreshing that players wanted to participate in the offseason workouts. In Green Bay, it wasn't something he saw and he doesn't think players really wanted to be there all year round.

“You don’t really see [so many players in the offseason program] where I come from because nobody wants to be there year-round,” Cobb said. “When you’re somewhere where guys want to live year-round and want to be around each other, it’s pretty cool.”

If the Cowboys are going to be a contender this year Cobb is probably going to need to have a big year and take some of the pressure off Amari Cooper. Dak Prescott can't have too many targets so if Cobb can get back to his old form, it's going to be a big key for the Cowboys.
