Skip Bayless has never been shy about his love for the Dallas Cowboys, and he thinks his favorite team will be able to work out a contract extension with Amari Cooper. Appearing on his FS1 show “Undisputed” with Shannon Sharpe, Bayless said he knows that at times the talks might get tough, but Jerry Jones is a businessman and he will make sure he gets a deal done:

“There are two areas in which you do not bet against Jerry Jones,” Bayless said. “You can bet against him in a lot of other areas, but not in these two: negotiations and player relations. He leads the league in both. Negotiations factor into cap wizardry. Jerry Jones is a ‘bidness man,' as he says, and he knows how to manage his cap. Trust me, he will get all of the above done.

Cooper wants to get paid like one of the best receivers in the league, which would put his contract right in the $16-18 million dollar range. Bayless thinks Cooper enjoys playing in Dallas and with Dak Prescott so much that Cooper might actually take a little less salary to help the team out and make sure he stays on America's Team.

Cooper taking a huge pay cut just to stay in Dallas seems like a long shot,  but if it's a difference of a half a million or a million dollars a year, maybe Cooper will do what he can to make sure he stays on the same team with Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
